Choose from a variety of accommodation to suit your stay

Kidwelly is a fairly quiet and unknown town that is perfectly placed in the south of Wales to allow a gateway into the rest of this fantastic country.

The town itself has a deep history and the Kidwelly Castle is the most dominating example of this. The inside consists of a four sided bailey with four round towers and a circular outer wall as a boundary with the front gate and building embedded into it. With houses and the town built around most of the castle and a stretch of water on the other, this attraction draws peoples in with the historical factor merged with modern life. The town centre has a variety of shopping chains, cafes, bistros and restaurants to fill a day up with browsing the shops and eating out.

Yet holiday makers here can get so much more from their vacation by exploring the area around Kidwelly. Pick any road in any direction and eventually something worthwhile comes into view. The city of Cardiff is less than two hours drive away where sport, entertainment and culture come alive.

The large area of outstanding national beauty that is the Brecon Beacons National Park is also a short drive away from Kidwelly. Be prepared to trek through the beautiful landscape and see the stunning scenery, with plenty of photographic moments available.

The Pembrokeshire Coast National Park is also on the doorstep of Kidwelly. The park offers many outdoor and adventurous activities with its abundance of walkways, sports centres, zoos and farms, beaches and cliff faces to explore.
