A super chapel, converted with thought and imagination, providing a beautiful residence of distinction, close to the Ceredigion coast. Perfect for the most special of occasions any time of the year.

This beautiful, detached chapel, thoughtfully converted in 2019, sits in a large plot in the delightful village of Llechryd, with pub, restaurant and shop all within walking distance and is just a short drive to the market town of Cardigan. The castle is well worth a visit, hosting lots of events throughout the year and the golden stretch at Poppit Sands, is a pleasant drive through St Dogmaels, less than five miles. The whole West coast is waiting to be discovered with the gems of Aberporth and New Quay, offering great beaches, boat trips and a host of independent shops to enjoy from seven miles.

Entering this wonderful building is an experience in itself, leading through two large imposing doors, into a hallway where you can kick off your boots. There are staircases both to the left and right, leading to the first floor, and a doorway through to the ground floor accommodation. Initially you are greeted by the utility area with a fantastic work surface, washing machine and tumble dryer. There are double height hallways along both sides of the building with two bedrooms, accessed via either hallway, they are both positioned right in the centre of the ground floor. There is a large bedroom with super-king-size bed and a twin bedroom. There is a contemporary bathroom with bath and shower and a separate WC. The refurbishment has been an imaginative one, with much of the charm and character retained along with the introduction of thoughtful and inventive twists, there are original features such as an organ and woodwork from the building. At the end of the hallway is the master bedroom, again with a super-king-size bed. This also benefits from an en-suite bathroom with hand-held shower over bath and WC. There are bi-folding doors that bring the outdoors inside. All bedrooms have a TV. Upstairs, on the first floor, is a breath-taking space with high ceilings and an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The kitchen area is well laid-out with electric oven and gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. This overlooks the dining area with large table and chairs, leading through to the lounge area. There is a roaring wood burner and sofa and chairs to relax on. The room has a calming feeling, provided by the varied light from the stained glass windows as the sun moves throughout the day. Juliet balconies provide lovely views encompassing the river, fields and forest. All in all a truly inspiring building, set in a beautiful location that it is almost impossible to leave for families and couples alike.

Heading outside, you will find a lawn area to one side of the property and the rear, a great space to let your four-legged friends run free. To the other side of the property you will find a patio area with garden furniture and a charcoal BBQ, the perfect spot to enjoy al fresco dining. There is off-road parking for three cars.

What a fantastic, special place. So much lovely art to look at, lots of books to read and the best equipped kitchen in a holiday let l I have seen. Tranquil, peaceful location but only minutes from the shops and cafes of Cardigan. Sad to leave.

Fabulous conversation of the old chapel to a modern spacious well equipped holiday house. You could not have asked for more. Large fully enclosed garden for the dog which was perfect. Food and water bowls provided which was a nice touch. For us the village itself was a little too remote and quiet, no cafe or pub and the hotel / restaurant never seeRead moremed open. There was a small shop which was well equipped and an excellent fish and chip shop. Lovely views from the sitting area across the river. Hide

Really good time in this super converted property - what a labour of love! Facilities all as described plus views of the highland cattle to the front and down to the river at the back. Would recommend the Flambards Hotel for evening meals - their 'sear & sizzle' plates are great fun - we went three times. I would highly recommend a stay at Chapel Tabernacle! The renovation of the property is beautiful was a fantastically stocked kitchen, unfloor heating & all the amenities you need. The property is VERY dog friendly providing bowls, an enclosed garden, dog blankets & some treats. We had a lovely stay & would not hesitate to book again.

Lovely place to stay in a great location for walks and beaches. We didn't eat out much, the facilities in the kitchen were impressive, plenty of everything and to be honest we were too pooped after all the walking to do anything but chill out in the evenings but there are some great pubs for eating in all around. As you will see in other reviews Chapel Tabernacle is a wonderful space and that is the real joy of the building. The chapel is very well equipped much better than the average rental so don't go lugging lots of cooking equipment as we did for Christmas. The kitchen has everything you need. Emma and Matt provided a 10' decorated Christmas tree a mosRead moret unexpected benefit. We also brought a large box of games completely unnecessary as there was so much there already including a Wii. Hide

A stunning place and so warm and comfortable. We celebrated our 50th Birthdays as a group of 6 and it was just a perfect communal space. The beds are lush. Youre nearby to the beautiful west Wales coastline. I can honestly say its one of our favourite places. Very dog friendly too

Considered chapel conversion in a beautiful location. Attention to detail is second to none. Dramatic coastal walks and endless sandy beaches with barely a soul for company. Quaint villages and welcoming locals. Whats not to like!
