A super shepherds hut enjoying lovely country views by day, stargazing at night, with a quality interior and a superb outside space with your very own bespoke hot tub.

A delightful shepherds’ hut nestling in the beautiful Brecon Beacons, in the grounds of an equestrian centre. Less than five miles to the pretty market town of Llandeilo, offering a good range of independent shops, eateries, inns and antique shops. The National Trust offers an array of breath-taking landscapes and wonderful walks within the grounds of  Newton House and the Dinefwr Castle, a perfect spot for wildlife lovers, with deer, white cattle and kites. There are many historic sites, castles and gardens to explore, including Carreg Cennen, Aberglasney Gardens and the National Botanic Gardens of Wales. If you are avid golf fan, then head to The Glynhir Golf Club, less than a 3-minute drive to enjoy a round before heading to the clubhouse for a bite to eat. If you are looking to enjoy a day at the beach, why not head for Burry Port (22 miles) with its bustling harbour with its the newly built lifeboat station, sandy beach, and lighthouse. Follow the Millennium Coastal Path by foot or cycle to Llanelli and the Sandy Water Park and head to Pembrey Country Park. Take a trip to the Llanelli Wetland Centre, where you can hand-feed the rarest geese in the world, spot some colourful flamingos or enjoy bird watching from one of the many hides. Plenty of activities such as mountain biking and climbing are all within an easy drive and pleasing walks straight from your door. (Please check admittance for the various attractions).

Enter into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner/sleeping area. You will first notice that this quality property has been hand-made, creating a more spacious yet cosy ambience. The lounge area has two chairs where you can enjoy the heat from the warming wood burner making this a lovely retreat at any time of the year. The kitchen area has a combination microwave/convection oven, hob and a fridge. The bed is a double from where you can enjoy the lovely rural and wildlife views. There is ample storage space and a fantastic shower room with a power shower and WC, adding a little bit more indulgence to your glamping experience.

Outside there is your very own bespoke wood fired hot tub – get those logs crackling and enjoy an evening looking at the stars. Outdoor seating for some al fresco dining, charcoal BBQ. There is ample off-road parking for two cars.

Beautiful shepherd's hut equipped with everything we needed. The little log burner was effective at keeping us warm and cosy even in winter. The private and secure area around the hut and hot tub were perfect for our dogs too. We loved our stay.

Enjoyable stay at the very comfortable, cozy shepherds hut!! Took our 8 week old baby with us, plenty warm enough with the little log burner!! The hot tub was lovely despite taking ages to warm up initially it kept its temperature once warmed up. There was combined training there while we stayed and was able to go and watch which bring an equestriaRead moren was a bonus. Shops were nice and local, went for a drive too, popped into franks icecream which was delicious! Not far from the site. Hide

Lovely shepherds hut cleverly laid out with really good use of space. The log fired hot tub was amazing especially after a full days walking. Everyone in the local area were very friendly and Penny & Tim made us very welcome & made sure that we had everything we needed to make our stay fantastic.

Lovely location, very cute shepherds hut! Wood fired hot tub was a giggle to get going one afternoon, not as relaxing as a regular plumbed in jacuzzi but pretty fun. My dog loved the little garden and theres some lovely touches in the hut.

The Shepherds hut is very compact but provided clever storage for all our belongings. The secure fenced area around it means the dog could safely be free. The views are stunning and the front of the property gets the sun all day. A real gem of a place to escape to.

We stayed here for four nights on our mini-moon and it was perfect location. With three dogs to keep an eye on the fact that the garden is enclosed is a godsend. The cabin itself is cosy but, even with three large dogs, plenty spacious enough for us. Beautiful view over the fields and lovely hosts. Will definitely be coming back

We had a wonderful long weekend at the Cabin. The view is amazing and Penny and Tim were so friendly and helpful. Great location for exploring the Welsh countryside and only an hour from the coast. We cant wait to stay again.

Beautiful hut, we loved every minute of our stay! The owners we very welcoming and made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed through out our stay. The hot tub was lovely. There is no oven so bare that in mind, there is also no signal in the hut and is limited outside too, it was nice to be able to switch off from our phones. What an absolute pleasure it was to stay here. We booked 3 nights for our anniversary and it was the perfect 3 nights. Our dog was safely enclosed in the hut area which was superb to allow us to relax, we managed to get the hot tub HOT! So how you could have dropped a teabag in there and had a giant brew! We stayed two nights and watched the most amazing sunrise both mornings. Very cosy place and had everything we needed. The hot tub takes a very long time to heat especially on a cold March day, I c as n imagine itll be much more enjoyable experience in the summer.

A wonderful stay, beautiful views and very relaxing even though we somehow picked the wettest weekend! Penny was wonderful and on hand if we needed anything. The wood fired hot tub is lovely, just be prepared to fill and heat it. Overall though, it was worth it and we had the best time away!

Peaceful, private location with lovely views and good compound to park the car. The hut is surrounded by a decent fence so the dog could enjoy his time safely too! The log burner made for a very relaxing stay and kept the shepherds hut cosy. The hot tub however was definitely a work up - took hours to fill and then more hours on top to try to heat Read moreup so unfortunately we couldnt enjoy it at a decent temperature. Gorgeous surroundings. Hut-cute and well equipped with amenities. A little disappointed tea/coffee jars empty. The hot tub was a great idea but it was a faff to get heated properly. It takes a good 4-5hrs to get to a decent heat (though when it's there it stays hot for ages). Hot tub is very spacious for 2 which is probably why it takes so long. A lovely cozy place for our honeymoon. The Hot Tub took best part of 4 hours to heat but well worth the effort and time. Penny was so friendly and helpful throughout our week long stay. We definitely would return and explore the area etc in the spring or summer.

Beautiful shepherds hut, set in a private, peaceful space. It is based at an equestrian centre but we were not disturbed and it felt totally private. Lovely, warm and cosy with the log burner going. There is very poor phone signal in the hut and the WiFi is also poor (may have been due to the weather which was awful) but this wasn't a bad thing as Read moreit helped us to fully switch off. We had a lovely stay at this beautiful hut! We stayed for 7 nights and we couldn't stop smiling the whole time we were there. The place is situated in a lovely area which is close to various places such as a tesco, Aldi, chip shop, pubs, clothes shops the list is endless! The hut is really clean and cosy! Amazing stay at The Brecons Hot Tub retreat. Beautiful location not too far from town but far enough to feel like youre in your own little world. Gorgeous views. Signal/wifi not great but nice to shut off for a few days, we enjoyed it. Hot tub was great. 3-4 hours to get to a nice temperature. Penny couldnt do enough for us she was fantastic. We really enjoyed our stay in the Shepherd's Hut. The hut is a get away from it all and was very cosy in a beautiful and private position. The hot tub was great fun. The owners were friendly and incredibly helpful when we had a problem with our car. We would recommend staying here.

It was a Friday afternoon when we arrived at the hot tub retreat. The sheep were calling in the distance and the sun was setting on the hill opposite. This was home. The mornings began bright and early with a fry up, love island and 3 very eager dogs. Many great hikes in the area, what an adventure! My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our stay here-. We visited caswell bay beach , walked round llyn y fan fach and walked up to castle cennen from the hut. The hot tub does take about 5 hours to heat up (you need to use a lot of logs) but was worth it. As said in previous reviews The WiFi does not work. A lovely base to explore the Brecon Beacons! Our experience was similar to other reviews in that we weren't able to use the hot tub as it was difficult to get warm (even after 6 or so hours!). There was no reception and the WiFi didn't work so it was difficult to plan our days out (no guide books or maps in the hut!) but the places we did explore wRead moree loved! We had the best time. Host couple are brilliant and could not do enough for us. The hut is equipped with everything needed for the most relaxing week we've ever had. The tub takes a few hours to heat up so it's best to start the fire up early and keep it going until you're ready to use it. Location is great and the views are beautiful. Hot tub took hours to heat up - in our case we got up over night to keep stove burning !! Perhaps could put this in booklet so people are aware that they would have to stay all day to keep fire hot No WiFi in hut but if you wander to road it is accessible This review might sound negative but we had a lovely time overall thank you
