Single-storey barn conversion property situated opposite the owner’s home, yet still offering guests privacy and tranquillity, surrounded by the stunning countryside of the Welsh borders.

This property is located in the stunning Welsh borders, north of the literary town of Hay-on-Wye, and the Brecon Beacons National Park. The villages of New and Old Radnor are both just two miles from the property, each of which have welcoming village pubs, whilst Old Radnor has a convenient village shop. The town of Presteigne lies eight miles away, where guests can find a range of shops and restaurants, as well as an interesting town trail. Other places of interest in the area include the towns of Hereford and Ludlow, Offa’s Dyke, and the Small Breeds Farm Park and Owl Centre.

This single-storey property is located just opposite the owner’s home, but is accessed via its own drive. Walking through the front garden, guests come to the front door of the property, which opens straight into the lounge/diner, a relaxing light-filled space with a beamed ceiling, cosy wood burner, comfortable seating, a TV/DVD. Beyond this room is the well-equipped kitchen with its oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, and dishwasher. A door from the kitchen brings guests to the handy boot room where they will find the washing machine and a door leading outside. The property has two bedrooms: one with a double bed and a second room which is a twin. The contemporary bathroom which is located on the same corridor as the bedrooms, offers a shower-over-bath and WC.

Outside, there is an enclosed garden to the front of the property, which is mainly set to lawn with a path running down the middle. Guests are welcome to bring their own horses and there are stabling facilities available, as well as a sand school for exercising them. Off-road, hardstanding parking is provided.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Lovely, fresh and comfy cottage; well supplied with all the necessities. In a beautiful, peaceful location yet just a short drive to village shops and pubs, small towns, woodland walks and places for the kids.

We booked a short break, fairly last minute and couldn't have made a better choice. Lovely accommodation in a picturesque setting; Bob and Sue are brilliant hosts who make you feel very welcome. Lovely property in a stunning location! Loads of places to visit & beautiful walks on the doorstep! Perfect for dogs as the property is totally secure, had no worries about leaving doors open to let him come as go as he pleased! Owners lovely & very helpful without being intrusive! Loved it & wouldn't hesitate to visit again!

We had a brilliant stay, everything is extremely comfortable. This was our second visit and we will certainly be coming back again. The kitchen is well equipped, the beds are lovely, the shower and bath are great and it is wonderful to have the log burner. There are many places to visit within a short drive, Leominster, Ludlow, Hereford, the Black Read moreand White Trail and some great walks. Sue and Bob are really friendly and helpful and do all they can to make you feel welcome. Hide

Sue and Bob were amazing hosts who took the time to look after us and make our Christmas break really special. Our Daughter especially enjoyed being around the horses and the dogs loved all the space and walks. There are some great walks nearby, well worth a visit all year round.

We were very pleased with Horsegames Barn, it was light and spacious and the layout of the rooms was very convenient. The utility room was very useful and the hosts supplied milk, eggs, tea and coffee as well as some tasty welsh cakes. The kitchen was also very good and well equipped. The cottage was lovely and clean and warm and cosy. We enjoyed our time there and loved its rural location. It is always a pleasure to be ableto take our dogs with us and hope that we left it clean and tidy. It was great that the dogs could go in the garden which was secure so they couldnt wander off anywhere. We are hoping to return in 2017.

Just to say we had a really lovely holiday at Horsegames Barn. The owners were excellent hosts and we will certainly return there. The weather was just fantastic which always helps and we loved Herefordshire.
