Single-storey barn conversion property situated opposite the owner’s home, yet still offering guests privacy and tranquillity, surrounded by the stunning countryside of the Welsh borders.

This property is located in the stunning Welsh borders, north of the literary town of Hay-on-Wye, and the Brecon Beacons National Park. The villages of New and Old Radnor are both just two miles from the property, each of which have welcoming village pubs, whilst Old Radnor has a convenient village shop. The town of Presteigne lies eight miles away, where guests can find a range of shops and restaurants, as well as an interesting town trail. Other places of interest in the area include the towns of Hereford and Ludlow, Offa’s Dyke, and the Small Breeds Farm Park and Owl Centre. (Please check admittance for the various attractions).

This single-storey property is located just opposite the owner’s home, but is accessed via its own drive. Walking through the front garden, enter through the front door of the property, which opens straight into the lounge/diner, a relaxing light-filled space with a beamed ceiling, cosy wood burner, comfortable seating, a TV/DVD. Beyond this room is the well-equipped kitchen with an oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, and dishwasher. A door from the kitchen brings guests to the handy boot room where they will find the washing machine and a door leading outside. The property has two bedrooms: one with a double bed and a second room which is a twin. The contemporary bathroom which is located on the same corridor as the bedrooms, offers a shower-over-bath and WC.

Outside, there is an enclosed garden to the front of the property, which is mainly set to lawn with a path running down the middle. Guests are welcome to bring their own horses and there are stabling facilities available, as well as a sand school for exercising them. Off-road, hardstanding parking is provided.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

We were very happy with the accommodation. It was very spacious and well equipped. There was even a delicious cake left for us and some bread and milk. Fire was lit for our arrival and instructions and plenty of firewood were left to keep us going. Outside space was secure enough to just let the dog out on his own. Our stay was during Storm Dennis so we were completely housebound for the Saturday but managed to get out for a couple of hours on Sunday for a carvery at a localish pub. Despite this, we still enjoyed our break as the accommodation was comfortable and spacious and we had taken games and books with us anyway. The cottage was very comfortable and homely. We arrived early evening to find the fire was lit and Sue had left us some delicious mincepies. We were visiting family for Xmas so it was the perfect location for us & there are so many great walks nearby. Both Bob & Sue are very hospitable hosts & we look forward to returning.

We had a brilliant stay, everything is extremely comfortable. This was our second visit and we will certainly be coming back again. The kitchen is well equipped, the beds are lovely, the shower and bath are great and it is wonderful to have the log burner. There are many places to visit within a short drive, Leominster, Ludlow, Hereford, the Black Read moreand White Trail and some great walks. Sue and Bob were amazing hosts who took the time to look after us and make our Christmas break really special. Our Daughter especially enjoyed being around the horses and the dogs loved all the space and walks. There are some great walks nearby, well worth a visit all year round.

This property is way out in the sticks. Light pollution very low so superb for stargazing. If you do take your dog, there is a very large field close by for those early morning strolls. Very little to do without traveling. There is the red kite feeding farm about 1/2 hour away and a few walks from easy to strenuous. Tesco's again about 1/2 hour awaRead morey.
