There is something for everyone here all year round. This fabulous house is in an elevated position on the fringe of Barmouth with its cafes, pubs, shops, museums, galleries, harbour, sea and miles of golden sandy beach. Activities on offer include stand-up paddle-boarding, boat trips, fishing, sea swimming, rock climbing, walking and cycling. Head to Coed-y-Brenin for mountain biking, Royal St David’s for the links golf course in Harlech or for adrenaline seekers there’s Zip World Slate Caverns at Blaenau Ffestiniog. There are many historic sites, castles, museums and events to be enjoyed. Being close to southern Snowdonia you can enjoy a plethora of footpaths and cycle routes, superb fishing, varied activities and events alongside the breath-taking scenery.

This lovely-detached house is full of interesting features and all the thoughtful little extras for your stay. Walk into the welcoming hall with the kitchen/diner to your left and lounge to your right. Just be prepared to get distracted by the panoramic views as you go through to the spacious kitchen, flooded with natural light. If you decide to eat in with your local purchases from your travels, you will find all the equipment you need to prepare a delicious meal including an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer and dishwasher. There is plenty of space for everyone to gather round the dining table and embrace the stunning view whilst enjoying tasty treats and catching up on the news. You will find the washing machine and tumble dryer in the utility room. After a full day out step into the lounge with feature fireplace, and relax on the comfortable sofas, read a book, watch the Smart TV or plan your holiday activities. For cosier nights in, switch on the electric log burner effect fire. There is a king-size bedroom on the ground floor with en-suite WC. There is also a stylish bathroom with shower over bath and WC, where you can relax in a bubble bath after a day exploring. Heading up the stairs, there are two delightful bedrooms with fabulous views over the estuary to choose from, the king-size room and twin with en-suite shower room and WC. There is another shower room with WC on this floor too. There’s oodles of space for everyone to get together and enjoy this lovely location.

The garden has a large paved terrace to embrace the stunning views with table and chairs and charcoal BBQ. A perfect spot for sundowners as the sunsets over the estuary and the Cadair Idris mountain range. There is a large lawned area with pretty shrubs and borders, ideal to relax, read a book and watch the local wildlife. There is private parking for three cars at the property and plenty of space for bikes, canoes and paddle boards.

Lovely house, well equipped in a great location with amazing views. Owners very responsive and welcoming. We loved seeing all the newborn lambs in the surrounding fields. Found a great woodland walk just down the hill for the dog and lots to do and see in the surrounding area despite the mixed weather.

Just arrived home after a fabulous 5 nights. The view is to die for and the colours and shadows on the mountains constantly change - absolutely beautiful. We will definitely return.

We had such a lovely week in Custard Cottage, will definitely be back! The house is spotlessly clean and comfortable and a perfect base to come back to after a day in the Welsh rain. There are some amazing walks right from the door and the views are spectacular. Thank you very much :)

A beautiful, well equipped , comfortable cottage with amazing views. I went with my family to celebrate my birthday. It is the perfect property for multi generational gatherings. The weather was cold but the cottage is cosy and warm. I highly recommend this cottage.

What can I say, if you want to stay in a lovely cottage in a fantastic location, then Custard Cottage is the place for you. Owners are also very good and responsive. Would recommend to anybody.

A beautiful cottage, finished to a very high standard. Spotlessly clean, very comfy and welcoming (thoughtful welcome pack, enjoyed by all) with everything you could possibly want for a perfect getaway, including a very handy equipped laundry room. Secure grounds for our four-legged family member. Breathtaking views, very peaceful and private. AcceRead moress is by single road and quite daunting if meeting oncoming vehicles but dont let it put you off - its more than worth it when you get there. Hide

Location really unmatched and takes your breath away. Cottage cleanliness excellent. A very comfortable property, one which could well be the best we have ever stayed in (in our 70s, so stayed in a few!) You have to regard the 2-3 mile lane approaching the cottage as a fun driving experience!

Beautiful situation overlooking the Mawddach estuary. Lots of lovely walks from the property. Cottage had everything we needed and was clean and spacious with a pretty garden at the side.

First, the cottage is stunning. The view is sensational over the estuary and out to the coast. Well furnished throughout, we spent most of the time in the kitchen or on the outdoor patio. What a treat to stay at Custard Cottage. The views are absolutely amazing and to sit on the terrace, sipping a G&T is just perfect. The cottage is brilliantly equipped with everything you could need. It is peaceful and quiet with just the sounds of the sheep to hear. We stayed with friends but I will be back and bring my family next time.

A very comfortable home from home in a stunning location! Loved every minute...so peaceful and surrounded by wildlife and country life. Made to feel welcome by accommodating owner. Lovely summer location for a week. Great secure garden for dog, not shown on photos. Two of the shower cubicles quite small, probably due to limited space of old property. Access road ok as lots of passing places, car definitely required.

This cottage is wonderful, it's very welll equiped, perfectly furnished and immaculately clean. The views are absolutely amazing!!! Barmouth is a super seaside town, in theory it's walking distance, we did it once, but it is a very long steep narrow lane. This cottage definitely has the wow factor! The views are fabulous and you instantly feel "at home" As two families, the number of bathrooms was a real plus too. And with so much walking straight from the door it was the perfect location.

Beautiful location, well maintained and presented cottage. Rebecca helpful but not intrusive. We loved the location but be aware it is situated up a narrow country lane which nervous drivers might find a challenge but we were okay with, but the views make it worth it.

Very comfortable stay, lots of space for 6 people. Fantastic views and lovely outdoor seating area and windows to enjoy the view. Cottage was very clean and well equipped. Nice touch with coffee, tea, milk and biscuits left for us which was much appreciated. Car is needed as there is a long and narrow lane to get into Barmouth. Would recommend the Read morelast inn for drinks and something to eat, the best in Barmouth! Hide

Too far out of town to walk in. Description said beach and shop within a mile but closer to 2 miles up a very steep, narrow road. Such a lovely location. Stunning views. Beautiful cottage. Cozy. Lovely, amusing sheep! Completely safe for dogs as fully enclosed. The pictures don't show it but there is a good sized lawn for dogs to play in too! Close to Barmouth but so peaceful. This is a beautiful holiday home. It is very spacious and spotlessly clean. Everything we needed was available in the property. We had a fabulous holiday - we were very lucky with the weather. Garden is very large and although it is all enclosed you cannot see all corners of it so we didnt feel able to let our dog off.
