A former Methodist church, set on the edge of the large village of Cwmavon, with shops and pubs within easy walking distance. This is a great spot to enjoy the best of the Afan Valley with picturesque mountains and forest surrounding the area. Excellent for cyclists, walkers and wildlife lovers alike, with world class mountain biking at Afan Forest Park, the seaside at Aberavon Beach and Waterfall Country in the Vale of Neath. This property is also well placed for attractions, such as Margam Country Park with acres of countryside with a castle, deer park and visitors centre and Bryngarw Country Park with woodland, lakes and a pond. Kenfig Nature Reserve is just a 20 minute drive, which is a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest and offers various activities including bird watching and hiking which also leads to the beach and adjoins a super golf course. (Please check admittance for the various attractions).

Entering the large hallway, complete with air hockey table and picture window to courtyard garden, you immediately get the sense that this property is a little different and has been very imaginatively refurbished. Through to the impressive open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, with a great feeling of space and serenity, with a high ceiling providing a light and airy ambience. The lounge has a very large corner sofa and stylish occasional seating, Smart 4K TV with Sky soundbar and sub along with a wood burner. The dining space has an impressive hand-made table with bench seating and is surrounded by original artwork. This sociable space also has table football too, so all the party can be entertained. There is a raised recently refurbished kitchen accessed by 2 shallow steps, with electric oven and gas hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge. There is a large utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer, spin dryer and airing space, all accessed from the main hallway. This also leads to a room with fridge/freezer with a complimentary beer and separate WC. From the lounge there is a hallway leading to three bedrooms. These offer very versatile sleeping accommodation with a bunk bed in each room that can be easily folded against the wall if not required and twin zip-and-links beds (that can be made up as a super-king-size on request). Each room can therefore sleep up to four guests, each bedroom also has an en-suite shower room with shower operated push button control and WC. There are sliding doors leading outside from each bedroom with added black out blinds, to enjoy a good night rest. This is a simply fantastic venue for a family get-together or a group of cyclists and walkers.

Outside there is a delightful inner courtyard and a rear garden with garden furniture and a gas BBQ, both are enclosed. There is a very handy purpose-built, lockable bike store for 12 bikes. There is off-road parking for up to 4 cars.

Team beach rugby Wales stayed in depot road accommodation it was absolutely stunning, Donna as a host was top tier. The boys could not believe how spacious yet home like the house felt. So many amenities around the area and a quick 5 minute drive and you're in the nearest town. The house was immaculate, everyone felt at ease and at home for the whoRead morele duration. This house in Cwmavon is a real hidden gem, with the beautiful surroundings and so much to do within a ten mile radius is just awesome. The house, the decor, the garden it really was all perfect. If you do not know about this place then you really need to get to know about this place.

Cwmavon is an incredible village, to have a house of this size which was centred in the heart of the valley with everything around us being so accessible was just a real treat. The house was cozy yet still felt so spacious it is beautiful.

What an awesome place for anybody who needs a house for a big group. The house was filled with activities for young or older people. The boys loved it and can't wait to come back.

Great position to explore especially if you're a cyclist. Great venue for a group of people. Really enjoyed the tableble tennis and football machines - we had a fab time. All bathrooms use push button taps - run for a few seconds only. One set temp for all taps.

The house from the outside did not look delightful, but the way it was arranged inside it rewards everything ... clean ... large spaces ... we had a very successful holiday ... I can recommend this place to anyone going to Wales ... very good communication with the owner !!! And the house .common WOW !!!! Thank you!!!
