Boating a stunning  location in Tal-y-Bont with golden sandy beaches, cafes, pubs, shops, museums and galleries all within easy reach. Just under five miles from Barmouth with its harbour and the Mawddach Estuary and within a short drive is Harlech, famous for its castle. There is so much on offer with paddle-boarding, boat trips, fishing, sea swimming, rock climbing, walking and cycling. Fancy some golf? Head to Royal St David’s for the links golf course in Harlech, Coed-y-Brenin for mountain biking or for adrenaline seekers there’s Zip World Slate Caverns at Blaenau Ffestiniog or walks to Cadair Idris (all within 22 miles). There are many historic sites, castles, museums and events to be enjoyed. Snowdonia National Park offers plenty of footpaths and cycle routes, superb fishing, varied activities and events alongside the breath-taking scenery.

Walk into this imposing three-storey property full of period features and feel all the thoughtful little extras to enhance your stay including underfloor heating in the hall, lounge and games snug. The rear hall and boot room is perfect for your outdoor attire and has a separate WC. To your right is the spacious kitchen, which is well equipped with a 5-ring gas hob, 2 electric ovens, microwave, larder fridge and dishwasher. Plan your menus at the breakfast table or on the sofa in the alcove, this is a lovely space to rustle up a meal. The freezer is in a cupboard under the stairs. When the meal is ready go through to the separate dining room with a feature fireplace, lovely views, the perfect setting for everyone to gather around and spend time together. After dinner head to the lounge with comfortable sofas, Smart TV to watch your favourite programmes or head through to the games snug with X-Box, Smart TV and board games. If you prefer you could just relax in the conservatory with stunning views over the garden towards the sea on the horizon. You will find the washing machine is in the boiler room near the back door. Relax in the garden or walk through the private gate down to the bridge and over the stream and to the local pub. If you are bringing your bikes there is a lockable bike rack in the garden. Ample private parking for four cars at the property.

Llys Andreas house was exceptional. Everything provided and Iola was brilliant. On hand to immediately help. There were 11 of us but plenty of space and the bedrooms were all large and beds were extremely comfortable. A really beautiful place. We plan to return as soon as possible. Can't speak highly enough of the house and hosts. Brilliant.

The house is amazing, every bedroom is spacious with comfortable beds, the hot tub was lovely and the gardens are beautiful. Plenty of space in the kitchen for storage, and the kitchen was well equipped. Overall lovely house, comfortable and well equipped. Friendly host, on call throughout. Bathroom cleanliness could be improved as we did have an issue with several shower drains blocking during visit. Accessibility difficult to hot tub, steps very wobbly, making it difficult for elderly members of the family. Exterior of property needs attention. 10 of us - all adults came for a week - and we had a super week. We walked to the beach which is magnificent especially at low tide. There was a pub within walking distance as well as a small supermarket. We enjoyed Sunday lunch as recommended by Iola in the restaurant on the caravan park. We were easily able to travel to Harlech, Snowden, Port MerRead morerion and Barmouth. The rooms are all comfortable and facilities were clean. Thank you for a great week. Hide

We were 5 couples - 5 old schoolfriends celebrating our 70th birthdays - plus partners. We had a great time, and the property was overall excellent. Everyone thought the beds were super-comfortable, and the showers were great. And the area is just stunning!

A great house in a very good location. It had everything we needed for a great week away for 11 adults. The owner kept in touch to make sure we had everything we needed which was very reassuring but she needn't have worried as the house was clean, comfortable, and had a big selection of pots and pans and cooking utensils. Great house.....so spacious and with plenty of room for all. We were a group of 3 families (all of adult age plus 2 dogs) and stayed for New Year. Everyone commented on how perfect the house was....highly recommend. The bedrooms are huge with 6 out of the 7 ensuite and we could easily fit us all round the dining table. The local Ysgethin Inn was a Read morenice welcoming pub and we enjoyed NYD lunch at Nineteen.57 both within walking distance. Train station is only 10 mins walk away which we also used. Hide

A fabulous location for a large gathering. Great walking from your doorstep. Very nice pub around the corner. The beach area is a short walk away. Huge expanse and again great walking along that coastline.

This is a large cottage ideal for those visitors who have a dog! It is located a short walk / drive from a dog-friendly beach. Fabulous holiday. Multigenerational family break. Plenty of space for 13 of us ranging from 5yrs to 70yrs. A beautiful, incredibly well equipped house in a great location. Good pub at the end of the garden. An outstanding house with superb facilities, highly recommended. The river and pub nearby add to the experience. There are some works still taking place in the garden and building exterior, it would be good if they could be completed.

We had a lovely week, 3 friends and our very old (89-90) mothers! The house is spacious, comfortable and well equipped. It would be great for big groups of friends and family. The local Spar is very well stocked and the larger CoOp in Barmouth would have everything else. Had lovely meals at the Victoria Inn and Norbar - great food and charming stafRead moref.
