A Grade II listed manor house, exuding grandeur and elegance and perfect for any special celebration. It most certainly has all the ingredients for a memorable getaway with friends or family.

Visit nearby Chepstow with a traditional high street which has a good range of shops. The town has several interesting historic sites, the most notable of which is the wonderful 11th century Norman Castle. Once a walled town, vestiges of the West Gate and Old Port Wall still survive. Scenic walks can be enjoyed along the river. If you’re feeling lucky, head for the famous Chepstow Racecourse which has numerous fixtures throughout the year. You can also enjoy the beauty of both the Wye Valley and the Forest of Dean where you can enjoy a range of outdoor activities, well-suited to groups. Try climbing, abseiling, archery, kayaking rafting, caving and tree-top adventure courses to name but a handful of the options. If you enjoy fishing, salmon and trout can be caught locally. Families will enjoy a visit to Raglan Castle and The Big Pit both with events, exhibitions and activities to suit children.

Set within three acres of established grounds, this grade II listed manor house sleeps 26 guests across seven comfortable bedrooms, with zip-and-link beds for flexible bedroom arrangements. The ground floor is simply perfect for entertaining with ample space for socialising. Catch up with friends in the lounge where you can enjoy pre-dinner drinks around the elegant fireplace, or simply relax in front of the flat screen TV. The formal drawing room is enhanced by the natural light from the sash window. Entertainment comes in the form of a games and cinema room which invites a bit of friendly competition with table football and pool or settle down in front of the cinema-style screen for a showing of your favourite film on Netflix or the latest fixture on BT Sport. Serve yourselves drinks from the adjacent bar, where bar stools and a wooden counter make for an authentic experience. Cooking for your guests will be a pleasure in the stunning kitchen with granite-topped island and enough space and equipment to whip up meals for 26 with ease. The kitchen is equipped with a Rangemaster oven and hob that deals admirably with large batch cooking, microwave, coffee machine, two fridge/freezers, dishwasher and a washer/dryer. A huge Belfast sink and metres of worktop space means too many cooks won’t spoil the broth. For a celebration supper why not lay the vast table in the dining room, where there is room for all to eat and celebrate in style. So, when the day is done climb the stairs where you will find seven bedrooms. The first floor includes one double zip-and-link room, one double zip-and-link with two single beds which has an en-suite bathroom with roll-top bath and WC and one double zip-and-link with two single beds. Beautiful property in stunning grounds. Very well equipped. Most things are a short drive or a long walk but it depends what you are going for. We were a group of 18 women and really enjoyed our stay.
