Property code: BN273

The perfect place to unwind after a day exploring the mountains, lakes and steeply wooded gorges of the southern Brecon Beacons, enjoy the sounds of the river at this charming stone cottage.

The southern Brecon Beacons are a magical expanse of mountains, lakes and Ystradfellte's waterfall country of caves and rushing rivers. Discover the mountains by foot, bike (this is the home of the fabulous Bike Park Wales) or even train on the Brecon Mountain Railway. The city of Swansea is just 15 miles away and is an excellent destination for keen shoppers, as well as those who might like to visit the city’s castle or the National Waterfront Museum. There are even beaches within easy reach, either on Swansea Bay, or a little further away on the beautiful Gower Peninsula. From the cottage, walk in beautiful countryside to the Diamond Mine Heritage Park along the river with meadows full of wildflowers.

Overlooking the River Tawe, this delightful stone cottage has been lovingly renovated, creating a cosy yet elegant holiday home. Light and spacious, accents of colour pop pleasingly against a neutral palette. The kitchen has an electric oven and halogen hob, microwave oven, dishwasher, fridge and freezer, dishwasher and Belfast sink, whilst the separate utility room has a washing machine, tumble dryer and a small freezer. With ample room for boots and coats, there is also space for a dog bed too. A small sunroom leads off the kitchen, the perfect place for a coffee to catch the early morning rays. The dining room seats six so make meals a sociable affair before retiring to the delightfully comfortable living room to play a board game or catch up with a good book. On chilly evenings cuddle up on the sofa to watch a film as the wood burner flickers. A shower room completes the downstairs whilst upstairs there are four bedrooms and a family bathroom. The master bedroom has a super king-size bed and lovely views across the river, whilst the second bedroom has a double bed. Two further single rooms and a bathroom with a shower over the bath completes the upstairs.

Outside, the large, unenclosed riverside garden has a mass of daffodils in spring, and a lawn perfect for enjoying the sun. Take a stroll up the road, which winds behind the property to The Crychan Valley. There is off-road parking and a shop, pub and restaurant 1.5 miles away.

Wonderful home from home cottage, in a rural, yet accessible location. Fully equipped, unlike some cottages weve stayed in you really dont need to bring anything extra. Lots to visit in the surrounding area.

Lovely home with the beautiful riverside setting. Comfy beds, clean & we'll equipped. It feels very private & rural but the local town/shops/supermarket is all walkable. Lovely waterfall walks within 20 mins drive & 45 mins to the beautiful Gower

We had a lovely 2 week holiday in Parc House. The weather wasn't always the best, but when it wasn't good we really enjoyed having such a nice house to spend time in. It was our second visit (we stayed for 1 week before) and it was even nicer this time due to the addition of the garden room. We loved being next to the river, it feels like it is in Read morethe middle of the country when you are there. Yet it is only a short walk to Tesco Superstore and various takeaways etc. Highly recommended. Hide

Beautiful cottage by the river. I loved waking up to the sound of the river flowing right outside the window. Lovely home with everything that you need. We even had a visit from Mr fox in the garden a few nights.

Fantastic property, with everything you need for a nice relaxing holiday. The cottage is in an idyllic setting and it has been equipped with virtually anything anyone might need. There were few non-ethnic restaurants nearby but the Chinese and Indian takeaways are close and of good standard. However the cooking facilities are excellent and if the weather permits, the garden is a wonderful place to eat a meal.

Didnt want to return home, such a lovely cottage and setting. Ideal for us as only an hours drive to all the destinations we visited. Coldplay was amazing in Cardiff and we drove there and back didnt take us long.

A really lovely place to stay! Great our party of four adults and one dog (though note it doesn't have an enclosed garden) and very well equipped. Really beautiful to hear the sound of the river closeby too. Excellent amenities in the nearby town and great access to the southern parts of the Brecon Beacons. Would very happily stay here again.

A good week despite the weather, we managed to get out and about. Unfortunately, unable to spend much time outside but the house was comfortable. Gower, Botanic Gardens, Dinefwr Castle and Craig-y-Nos, all good in between the downpours

Just lovely. Clean, quiet & the room overlooking the river was well used. So many beautiful bird's & the local village, Chinese takeaway & a Tesco all in walking distance. So many places to go within driving distance. We will be back. Top tip: use the local butcher's, lovely people & fantastic choice at great prices.
