Situated in a beautiful location, surrounded by rolling countryside. Ideal as a base for walking, with the Brecon Beacons and Black Mountains on your doorstep. The lovely little town of Crickhowell, with two butchers, a bakers, Post Office and shops is just five miles. The famous literary town of Hay-on-Wye is within a short drive with a plethora of independent stores and book shops. Nearby attractions include the Craig-y-Nos Country Park, The Brecon Mountain Railway, South Wales Borders Museum and The National Show Caves of Wales. For those simply looking to relax and unwind, with a pub just over a mile away, there are very few better spots.

On entering this detached property you will enter the spacious kitchen/diner a real heart of the home and great social space, just off the kitchen/diner you will find the handy utility room to your left and to your right a doorway leading to the ground floor shower room. As you step down a couple of steps you will reach the spacious lounge with double aspect windows and warming wood burner. Located next to the lounge is the first of the bedrooms, the twin bedroom. Heading back up the couple of steps will lead you to the staircase to the first floor where you will find the family bathroom and further cosy double bedroom and spacious twin bedroom, both of which have been tastefully decorated.

Heading outside you will enjoy your own private patio/garden area with garden furniture with far reaching countryside views and a hot tub.

Lovely cottage in a great location. The whole place was clean and tidy, and the facilities were excellent. The wood fired hot tub was a bonus and very easy to use. Easy access to hills and town from the cottage, and easy to get too. I expect we will be back.

Lovely large cottage in the middle of nowhere. Views were great from the hot tub. Quite a way down a very narrow lane so be prepared to reverse if you meet anyone. Local pub was about 1.5miles away and food was lovely. Great location for walks, dragons back, pen-y-fan, 4 waterfalls and others. Hot tub was great although did take 1.5hrs to warm up. Great place to stay! Well equipped with every thing we needed. Noted previous comment on cleanliness which I would say is not the case as the log fire produces a lot of dust that's all. Bathroom and kitchen spotless. Was a little of grid which took some getting use to but overall we would recommend a stay here!

Fabulous comfortable cottage with hot tub, amazing views, great location. Thank you for the great apple cake. There were 5 of us + 2 Labradors. Well equipped kitchen, easy to light log burner. Overall, a well equipped, comfortable cottage in a superb location. Agree with previous comments regarding the benefit of a refresh but this did not detract from the enjoyment of our stay. We were able to enjoy walks from the cottage door and its location enables you to reach other great walks from Crickhowell and Talgarth with just a short car jouRead morerney. We had a fabulous time - the cottage was very clean and the views were magnificent. Although it was gloriously remote, you're only 5 miles from Crickhowell for supplies and Abergevanny was 20 mins away. The cottage is very well equipped and spacious, with everything you need for cooking. The fridge wasn't working but the owners had a new one to us Read morewithin hours - very impressed with that. Beautiful cottage, lovely lay out and in a very quiet, secluded area. We had a lovely week relaxing with just the sheep in the background. Beautiful cottage in a lovely area. Unfortunately the cottage needs updating. The mattresses need replacing, pillows were musty and bed linen in general was old. The fridge not working properly. Also no welcome package.
