St Davids is a unique and special place to visit due to its quaint environment and characterful nature, it is much loved by everyone who knows it. It is unique for two main reasons; firstly St Davids is the smallest City in Britain with a population of less than 2000, secondly it has a Peninsula that sticks out of the Wales Pembrokeshire countryside named after itself.

St Davids may be a city but it offers so much to do on a holiday here, it has a relaxed atmosphere removing the packed, sometimes crazy, feel of the larger cities like the capitol of Cardiff. The city centre has many of the usual attractions that city life has to offer. An abundance of shops and centres can keep the gift buying desires at bay, whilst many small cafes, bistros and restaurants can fill bellies and delight taste buds.

The Cathedral of St Davids is a hidden gem in the city; it is difficult to see as it lies below the city, but once visitors walk through the gates it reveals what a fantastic building it is. Named after the Patron Saint of Wales, it is thought he was buried here. The Cathedral is a must visit for anyone who appreciates history and architecture.

Whilst the city of St Davids is a beautiful place to visit, it is the surrounding area that makes a holiday here truly special. The St Davids Peninsula is an area of outstanding natural beauty and part of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. The National Park is full of endless walks, horse rides, bike tracks, rock climbs, casual strolls, waters sports on lakes and out to sea, hidden ruins and historic buildings and unlimited photo opportunities to remember for a lifetime.

The coastline around the Peninsula has to be seen in as many ways as possible from walking the dog over green hills, to exploring secret rock pools with the children, or kayaking over the sea and seeing the hidden coves and wildlife.

During the summer season several boat operators offer wildlife watching boat trips, with dolphins, whales, gannets and seals being the animals that people long to see.
