A lovely quaint old cottage, yet comfortable and warm. Located amidst hilly sheep farming country. If it's tranquillity and peace you are looking for, this is the place for you.

Cottage is very remote which was ideal for us and our dogs. Very tradional style but all mod cons & very cosy. Well set up for dogs which was important to.us. They loved it. Host was pleasant and helpful. Would go again.

The cottage does not look the same as the images currently shown. It could have been a lot cleaner both in the garden and inside the cottage

We had a wonderful week in this glorious old cottage. So quiet and peaceful and really allowed us to stop, think and reevaluate our lives. Looking forward to going back.

A lovely cottage, very well equipped. A very remote location which is idea for walks but if you want to travel it is several miles before you get to a two lane road. Was let down by little things, dirty mirrors, tv and stand, stereo and the log burner had not been cleaned

What a last minute find! Fab remote hill location, sound of river perfect backdrop.History of house fascinating! Choice for walks great, quiet for training nervous dogs(fields front of the house & 1 by river), front paved & back garden small laid to grass(note you go out of front gate to access) ok for morning toilet but not exercise-walks from the Read moredoor though. It's an actual old farm cottage not a fake holiday home so expect rural quirks and creaks. Super comfy beds-slept like logs. Would 100% book again. Hide

The house was advertised with a paddock to use, which was the reason we booked it, the paddock was being used for sheep, therefore not able to use for our dogs.

Very isolated. Make sure you take essentials with you, no welcome pack. If you have mobility issues I wouldn't recommend it because of the stairs. Very clean and owners very welcoming. I wouldn't consider the area for dogs as a paddock, just an average size back garden with low fence that dogs could easily jump over.
