The area is also rich in heritage, with many castles including Raglan Castle, just a stone’s throw away. There are numerous beautiful churches including the remains of the stunning Tintern Abbey, just a short drive away, as well as the well preserved remains of Roman civilisation in Caerleon and Caerwent. We loved our week spent at New Oak Cottage, it was ideal for our family of 5 (would be suitable for 6 people) and our 2 dogs. The cottage had everything we needed and everything worked well. The paddock was good for our dogs to exercise and the car charging point was ideal. The cottage is perfectly situated to explore South Wales, some great days oRead moreut spent at commutable local attractions St. Fagan's Museum, Cardiff Bay, Raglan Castle and The Royal Mint to name a few. Highly recommend! Hide

Lovely cottage in a nice quiet location. The cottage was spotlessly clean with plenty of hot water for showers etc. The cake on arrival was delicious and a nice touch which we appreciated. We had a lovely week here and would definitely recommend it.

Clean, comfortable and well equipped cottage in a great location - very relaxing and we were lucky to be able to make lots of use of the outside garden area due to excellent weather. Very welcoming owner and much appreciated hand baked cake on arrival! One of the best cottages we have stayed at.

Lovely cottage &great location. Well equipped & spotlessly clean. Beautiful cake on arrival with a supply of tea, coffee milk etc. Just to let dog owners know, dogs are not allowed to run free in the garden as it is share with the owners. There is an enclosed paddock but be aware that there's a hen coup & sheep in this area. Sadly, we did pick thisRead more cottage as it had an enclosed garden. Whilst this is an accurate description it does not mean your dogs can run off lead. Not really ideal for us Hide

Lovely clean cottage with everything that you need for a stay in this beautiful part of the country. After days out exploring it was wonderful to return to a well equipped cottage and enjoy the superb cake that was left for our arrival - lovely touch! Our cockerpoo loved her treats too!
