This fantastic farmhouse enjoys a fabulous, elevated position that overlooks the picturesque Honddu Valley in the beautiful Breconshire countryside. Situated between the market towns of Brecon and Builth Wells, with good road access, this property is an excellent base from which to explore some of the surrounding attractions. The bustling cathedral town of Brecon (6.5 miles) offers a full range of local services and a good selection of independent shops and eateries. Whether you like to hike, bike, or take to the water, Brecon provides a plethora of outdoor activities for everyone to enjoy. Steeped in history, the market town of Builth Wells (11 miles) provides another great day of explorations and adventures.

After a busy day exploring, step into the spacious hallway and kick off your walking boots. Located just off the hallway, you will find a spacious utility room ideal for storing all your walking gear. There is also a handy WC here. Wander through the hall, stepping down into the stylish contemporary kitchen/diner with a central island and large dining table. This is a great entertainment space to catch up with everyone and celebrate any occasion. The kitchen is well equipped and is a delight for any chef; whip up a celebratory meal or a simple home-from-home dinner to keep the troops fuelled. When it’s time to relax, head back up the steps into the living area where you can unwind in front of the wood burner with a good book or a glass of wine while the kids hang out in the games room upstairs. A second kitchen is also located on the ground floor and leads into a second living area with French doors leading onto a large, decked veranda offering magnificent rural views of the surrounding countryside. A king-size bedroom with a neighbouring wet room completes the ground floor. Head up the oak staircase to the first floor where you will find a further three bedrooms. The spacious master super-king-size bedroom provides stunning views over the landscape, a walk-in wardrobe/dressing room and an en-suite bathroom. Two further bedrooms, one double and one twin room provide a great night’s sleep for all. These two rooms have the use of a family bathroom. The first-floor landing space has been converted into a fun board games room and craft room with a Smart TV where the kids can hang out, get creative or have a game of table football.

Outside, at the rear of the property is a wonderful lawned garden that provides uninterrupted views over the valley, where you can enjoy gazing at the livestock in the neighbouring fields. A lovely feature of the garden is a walled terrace where you can enjoy some al fresco dining utilising the BBQ and garden furniture provided or relax in the hot tub.

Fabulous house in a beautiful location. We were 6 adults, 3 children and 2 dogs and there was plenty of room for us all. The house is conveniently placed to explore the Brecon Beacons and also not far from the wonderful Gower coast. Josie and George were very friendly and always on hand for advice and support. This was perfect for the two families and even equipment for a 3 year old The farmhouse was always warm and there were towels and dog bags plus washing tap outside for the three dogs. Even in less than perfect weather there was plenty to do locally and we could walk the dogs from the door The owners were really helpful - even sorting out SainsburysRead more order when we were delayed in traffic Hide

Theres not enough superlatives to describe how good this property is, but also how much pride Josie takes in looking after it. Family gathering to celebrate a 65th birthday. So pleased we chose this beautiful property. A warm, comfortable stay on a cold, grey weekend in March. Loved the fabulous living space. A very well-equipped kitchen perfect for preparing celebration meals. Plenty of fridge/freezer space. Sainsburys delivery worked well. Easy communication with the ownRead moreers who live locally. Walked up Pen-y-Fan and enjoyed soaking in the hot tub on our return bliss! Would book again. Hide
