Quirky property, clean and tidy. Lovely large kitchen and bedrooms. Large lounge thats cozy as well. Lovely and warm too throughout. Super old property with lots of character but it does also mean low doors / beams so if you are tall you do have to get used to ducking down! Dog section of garden is secure but note that dogs are only allowed in the Read morekitchen and lounge. On street parking although you can park right outside. Hide

Loved living in a historic house with flagstones and sloping floors. Well equipped kitchen, pots and pans looked new and a proper fruit basket, but no dishwasher. Plenty of outside seating we were lucky to see a Buzzard on two evenings in fields across the road. Location great for activities and sightseeing, good local shop a short walk away.

The property was a good size and characterful with a well equipped kitchen and lovely furnishings throughout. The owner was welcoming and there is a Co-op nearby for any essentials, and a Tesco a few miles away in Lydney for more supplies. The cottage is spacious & extremely clean, the kitchen had everything you would need, we like to cook, so we found this great!! Colin is very friendly and was super helpful. Although there is a downstairs bedroom and bathroom, this property is not suitable for anyone with mobility problems. There are two steps into the bathroom and there is one large step to the bedroom. The downstairs bedroom is not very large and only has a double bed, not a king size. Being such and old building the floors are not level so can causeRead more problems with mobility. Hide

This was a beautiful old farmhouse, though the floors are uneven so watch your footing, but that is to be expected from a charming old property like this. Ideally situated to explore the Forest of Dean with plenty of local walks and free roaming sheep. Lovely little garden with seating and a short walk to local shops and a Cafe.
